Product summary

Orifice Flange Unions

Our Orifice Flange Unions are designed and manufactured to AGA, ASME and ISA recommendations. We offer the  following types of unions:

- Slip-on threaded ring joint corner tap

- Raised Face Weld neck Orifice flanges

- Raised Face slip-on Orifice flanges

- Ring-Type joint weld neck Orifice flanges

- Corner tap Orifice flanges

The orifice flange union (OFU), consists of two flanges held together by flange bolts and alignment pins. A paddle or skillet type plate is placed between two

gaskets, and inserted between the flanges. Designed for flow metering systems. Two orifice flanges with bolts and jack screws are called an "orifice flange union" and are used in conjunction with an "orifice plate." The orifice plate is a separate commodity and is not sold as a part of the flange assembly. Each flange is provided with a pair of pressure taps for measurement of pressure drop in the flow through the orifice plate. The taps are precisely located with respect to the orifice plate. Orifice flanges may be provided in one of three types of flanges: Welding Neck, Slip-On and Threaded.

Product Detail– Orifice Flange Unions

Orifice Flange Unions provide an economical method of measuring flow in both gas and liquid services. Flanges are machined in accordance with the requirements of ANSI B16.36. Raised face flanges meet the requirements of ANSI B16.5 for raised face dimensions. Our standard pressure taps, bore tolerances and surface finishes are all in accordance with the requirements of both API 14.3 and ISO 5167. Full compliance with these more stringent specifications can be provided if required. This is achieved with the addition of precisely machined dowel pin holes in each flange to assure maximum concentricity. Standard materials include carbon steel flanges and bolting with 1/16" thick non-asbestos gaskets. Other materials and gasket types are available on request.
